AI Answer Checker

Seven questions to ask yourself before relying on an AI answer. This is a thinking checklist: it does not fact-check anything and gives no reliability score.

Start here

Keep the answer you are reviewing beside you; there is no need to paste it here. For example, if an assistant gives a delivery-policy deadline without a source, choose “Not sure” on the source question, copy the suggested follow-up, then check the actual retailer policy yourself. Progress is checklist completion, not an accuracy score. Reset clears all selections.

The checklist

0 of 7 answered
  1. 1.Are the key facts supported by something you can check?

AI assistants can state wrong facts with total confidence.

  2. 2.If sources or links are mentioned, did you open them and confirm they exist and say the same thing?

AI tools sometimes invent book titles, studies, quotes or URLs that look real.

  3. 3.Have you rechecked any numbers, totals or calculations?

Language models are not calculators and can slip on arithmetic.

  4. 4.Do you know what the AI assumed about your situation?

Answers often quietly assume a country, budget, skill level or goal that may not be yours.

  5. 5.Did the answer say where it is unsure, or offer more than one view where experts disagree?

A single confident answer can hide real uncertainty or debate.

  6. 6.Could the information be out of date?

Prices, laws, product features and news change, and AI knowledge has a cutoff.

  7. 7.If this involves health, money, legal or safety decisions, will a qualified person review it?

AI is not a doctor, lawyer, accountant or safety inspector, and mistakes here can be costly.
