Editorial standards

How we choose, describe and review what appears on HelloAIKit.

Selection

We feature a small, curated set of widely available AI services that are reasonable for beginners. The list is not comprehensive and is not based on paid partnerships or affiliate links.

Verification

Availability notes are based on official pages we fetched on the stated review date (most recently 2026-11-05). We link to the source page for each service. Where we could not confirm something, we say so.

We avoid quoting prices, usage limits and model versions, because they change frequently. Always check official plan details.

What Tool Finder recommendations mean

The Finder matches your answers against curated provider data using fixed rules, not live product tests, benchmark results or verified access to your account. Local-only choices exclude cloud-only entries; a service with both modes is recommended only for its local mode. If no eligible output matches, we say so instead of relaxing your privacy choice.

A partial match means some requested output types, task needs or beginner preferences are not covered. Output categories describe help preparing work, not a guarantee of native file export or free access. The order is a score within our short list, not a claim that one provider is objectively best.

Article review and publication

New blog articles move through draft, review, approved and published states. A human must check factual claims against current official sources, test any claimed outcomes, resolve draft notes and explicitly approve each article. Changes after approval invalidate its publication eligibility. Drafts are excluded from public production pages and the sitemap. We do not auto-publish AI news.

Examples are illustrative unless a dated, reproducible test is described. A source-fetch date means a page was retrieved, not that every provider claim was independently proven. Paid plan details, regional availability and account-specific features need extra checks.

Honesty about limits

Every service has limitations, and we list them alongside strengths. Our own tools have limits too, which we describe on each tool page, such as the imperfect pattern detection in the Privacy Checker.

Corrections

If something is outdated or wrong, we want to fix it. A public contact channel is being set up; see the contact page for current status.
